Conducting International Insurance inspections of Russian NPPs

Inspections were carried out on Leningrad, Novovoronezh and Beloyarsk NPP. Inspectors from nuclear insurance pool of Scandinavia, China, Ukrain and Russia, as well as representatives of “Rosenergoatom” on the technical management and financial services side and “Nuclear Insurance Broker” attended the inspections.

 The objectives, in the framework of the inspection, were to assess the insurance risk of Leningrad, Novovoronezh and Beloyarsk NPP for liabilities assurance to a third party,  insurance coverage is guaranteed by nuclear insurance pools as well as a discussion of measures taken at nuclear power plants after the Fukushima NPP accident`.

 Inspections were carried out fully in accordance with the program, with the documentation study, submitted presentations, the round of  buildings and premises, IT systems and equipment completion.

 The inspection revealed the comments and made recommendations to be presented in the reports under the current procedure.

 In order to clarify certain issues of Novovoronezh NPP exploitation, the re-inspection at Novovoronezh NPP  is agreed to be held by the end of March 2012.

 The final meeting of the concern "Rosenergoatom" was held regarding the results of the ISI.
